In spiritual terms of energy, we could say that Universal Life Force gives life to everything in the universe, observes everything, is pure love, and exists in everything, in all of us, and in all times and places.
In scientific terms, our Western journey of understanding of energy and cosmology began in the 17th century, when the philosophies of Issac Newton and Rene Descartes told us that the Universe is an orderly predictable machine. All things are solid, and humanity has little effect on the outcomes.
Sounds a little bleak, doesn’t it?
Thank goodness Albert Einstein soon rocked our world with his theory of relativity and his well-known formula, e=mc2 which, simply stated, says that energy is equal to mass multiplied by the speed of light. This showed that energy and matter are the same and also proved that the Newtonian and Cartesian models were flawed. Enter the beginnings of Quantum Physics.
Things are getting good…
One of the discoveries we have since made is that within an atom electrons are interacting with neutrons, appearing, disappearing without regard to time or space, and manifesting when we observe it. In other words, energy responds to your attention, known in quantum theory as the Observer Effect. Your attention and thoughts affect quantum field, and your intentions carry energy.
The other quantum principle at play here is quantum entanglement which teaches us that everything within the universe is interconnected. We are connected to everything in the quantum field, subject to neither time nor distance. Scientists have conducted experiments using particles like electrons and photons that interact physically together as one, and when separated, they still behave as if they are together.
Thus, as healers and Reiki practitioners we are affecting the quantum field through our loving attention and intention. We are participating with Universal Life Force, which will go where it is needed, and in the case of distance Reiki, will travel across any space to the desired recipient.
Furthermore, our physical bodies have something called the myofascial system, a mesh of tubes made of collagen and filled with fluid, which links all parts of us, like an energetic superhighway. The myofascial system carries signals in the form of tiny electrical light impulses called biophotons.
Interestingly, the myofascial system has seven areas where there is much more fascia (and hence, more energy and biophotons) than in other areas, which, you guessed it, correspond to the seven chakras, or energy centers. Often in Reiki treatments, these areas have the most energy and information, and therefore, where we will work the most.
In conclusion, both spirituality and quantum theory tell us there is power in our joyful intention. So why not intentionally participate with the quantum field and loving energy around you and begin your healing sessions with the belief and the assertion that you a red hot & holy conduit for juicy healing.
